Leo hadn’t touched Vice City in a decade. Not since his modding days, when he went by “Monty” online—a ghost in the forums, known for breaking the game’s limits. But tonight, insomnia and nostalgia dragged him back.

He entered the hidden room behind the penthouse closet. Inside: a virtual shrine. Screenshots of his old forum posts. A looping audio file of his 19-year-old self saying, “One day, I’ll finish the Monty mod. Full voice acting. New story. For Windows 10, man. For everyone.”
