welcome aboard

Ships of Hagoth is a digital-first literary magazine featuring creative nonfiction and theoretical essays by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Where other LDS-centric publications often look inward at the LDS tradition, we seek literary works that look outward through the curious, charitable lens of faith.

(If you’re looking for where to buy/rent the film legally, check services like Apple TV, Amazon, or your local BluRay retailer.) If you meant to request a download, I can’t help with that, but I’m happy to help you find legal viewing options or discuss the film itself. Just let me know.

Has anyone else checked out the BluRay release yet? Curious how the extras are compared to the streaming version.

It looks like you’re trying to share or request a download link for a pirated copy of The Room Next Door (2024). I can’t provide direct links, torrent files, or instructions for accessing copyrighted content without permission.

Just got my hands on the new 1080p BluRay rip of The Room Next Door (2024), encoded in x265 10-bit for great quality at a smaller file size. Really looking forward to revisiting this one – the cinematography and sound design deserve the higher bitrate.

IONS

We are hoping—for “one must needs hope”—for creative nonfiction, theoretical essays, and craft essays that seek radical new ways to explore and express theological ideas; that are, like Hagoth, “exceedingly curious.”

We favor creative nonfiction that can trace its lineage back to Michel de Montaigne. Whether narrative, analytical, or devotional, these essays lean ruminative, conversational, meandering, impressionistic, and are reluctant to wax didactic.

As for theoretical essays: we welcome work that playfully and charitably explores the wide world of arts & letters—especially works created from differing religious, non-religious, and even irreligious perspectives—through the peculiar lens of a Latter-day Saint.

We read and publish submissions as quickly as possible, and accept simultaneous submissions.
